The back and forth of the current GOP campaign cycle has pundits reeling.   The folks that see themselves are serious analysts are now having to cover what has become a tacky reality show.  Any veneer of respectability was removed when some of the GOP presidential candidates, including the current front-runner, actually agreed to be publicly question by ” The Donald”. Imagine seeing yourself as a a journalist and waking up to find yourself with a job better suited for an employee of the Enquirer or News Corp.

Here is a traditional pundits guide to today’s shorthand reality TV politics:

Weepers & Whiners: Michelle Bachman is blindsided by a child and she and the right wing pundits are shocked, shocked, shocked that anybody would pull a stunt in order to draw media attention to a political issue!

 Winners & Losers: Romney is out and still doesn’t know it and Gingrich is in with perfect timing, so the big winner of the GOP primary is ….. Barack Obama.

Beggars & Choosers: Jon Corzine can’t find a billion and is forced to testify in front of a key House committee: Corzine is a Democrat which means that the overly partisan GOP congress will finally provide some real scrutiny to a case of  alleged financial mishandling.
