Obama targets Latinos in new Spanish-language ads (Video)

The Obama campaign launched new television ads on Wednesday aimed at Latino voters, highlighting the auto bailout, the stimulus and health care reform.

“The president has done a lot to fight for Latinos,” Ernesto Apreza, a field worker for the campaign in Nevada, says in Spanish in one ad. “That drive is something that the Latino community understands.”

It later features a clip of Obama in Boulder, Colo., on April 25, saying, “We don’t give up here in America. We get up. We get each other’s back.”

The videos represent the third installment in a series of Spanish-language ads targeting Latino voters, that began with four released on April 18 that featured Obama for America organizers discussing the president’s record on education.

There are three 30-second television ads in the set released on Wednesday, which will air in Denver, Orlando, Fla., and Las Vegas and Reno, Nev., accompanied by a separate health care ad that will run in the three states concerned.
