Several recent examples of blatant racism have illustrated that the kind of thinking we thought was eradicated long ago is not only flourishing but is being passed off as national leadership.

Latino lawmakers urged President Barack Obama during a closed-door White House meeting Tuesday to use executive branch authority to slow deportations of illegal immigrant students.

Hispanic Caucus Chair Charlie Gonzalez said that there were actions the President can take utilizing his executive power in order to assist immigrant families. In an interview on "The Mario Show", the congressman from Texas said that the President can use his executive authority to redefine immigration policy terms especially in reference to children who were brought to the country through no fault of their own.
